Founded in 1983 and acquired by Hunt Engine, Inc. in 1994, PEMCO is a full service repair
and rewind shop for AC/DC motors and generators that specializes in servicing the Oil
Production, Drilling, and Petrochemical Industries. The repair and remanufacture of
General Electric and EMD DC traction motors and EMD motor control cabinets are PEMCO’s
specialties.
PEMCO has a complete stock of KATO, Basler, Marathon and Newage
Stamford voltage regulators and carries a varied line of factory parts as well.
As an Authorized Service and Warranty center of KATO Engineering, Marathon Electric,
Newage Stamford and KATO Light Generators, PEMCO is committed to providing superior
service on these products. Both in-shop and field service is available to all of
our customers 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
A UL Facility and proud member of EASA, PEMCO also offers training schools on motors,
generators and voltage regulators tailored to each customer’s needs. Preventive
maintenance programs, service contracts, custom fabrication work and consulting
services for rotating machinery and controls are also available. PEMCO is housed in a
12,000 square foot facility along the Harvey Canal in Harvey, Louisiana. PEMCO has
the ability to rewind rotors up to 13 feet and has a current crane capacity of 25 tons.
Temperature controlled burn and bake ovens ensure the integrity of motor and stator
cores and complete VPI capability is also available.
